Greetings!

My head boils over each time I hear about the Indigo Children’s marvelous wonders. They are not special. We are all special. The Indigo Children who have arrived on the planet since the late 1980’s reflect a higher and purer level of awareness developed through our rising consciousness.

What is so special about these kids anyway? Our New Age folks have overstated their boundaries. What they suspect and conjecture about the Indigo Child is based more on minimal substantiation and overrated anticipation. I, myself, wrote some good literature about them, but have always taken a more psychologically grounded point of view. These kids are really normal. They are one step forward in society’s evolution. It’s the parents and teachers who are experiencing a bit of trouble accepting and adjusting to the nuance being presented. Just like my 93 year old mom who still has trouble turning on a computer. “It talks,” she thinks.

Lately, many groups are surfacing around the world in salute of the Indigo Children. Yes, there are apparent differences than the previous generations. Yes, they are more loving and creative. Yes, they tend to have much more energy than most parents and teachers are able to cope with. But isn’t every new generation like this, new and refreshing to society.

In reality, we all live in an Indigo Era. Indigo kids live the evolution of Indigo Awakening. In this light, Spirit is definitely manifesting on the material plane. Each previous civilization of the material world has been evolving through different eras, awakening new attributes, possibilities, and skills. Initially, humanity has developed from the “Grounding” chakra below the feet. Now civilization has evolved beyond the Sixth Indigo Chakra, towards charkas of Pure Light, which bring higher awareness of your Divine Nature within your human body.

We were always Spirit. It needed to be recognized and awakened in the awareness of the human body. At the cellular level, the history of human development has actually been the evolution of the human-DNA.

Each generation uses more of its DNA and genes, which increases perception and brings more awareness to the human-social body. The world has been evolving from early man, through first chakra and red era of cave man. Migrating to the orange era of the second chakra, Altlantis; then the yellow era of the third chakra, the Ahtan Ra, of the ancient Egyptians. The green era was expressed through the old testament of the Hebrew and Christ Era, unification and Love. Then the blue fifth chakra, which reflects the outpouring nature of the world’s population to communicate that now leads us into the 6th chakra, Indigo Period. Each era is substantially shorter than its previous era, because their evolution accelerates exponentially.

Our kids are not actually born with special talents. All of us have special talents. Our kids do, however, reflect “evolved talents” that depict how the whole species of humanity are rapidly developing. There exists a certain sparkle and a simplistic attitude for life. They seem to have an inherent understanding of life’s purpose that does not necessarily pertain to potential careers, but rather, creative pursuits. The Indigo Children carry this “glow” and remind us of our special ascending nature. To separate them as “different” truly goes against the grain of Unity Consciousness. No one is more important than another.

I am beginning to see the label “Indigo Children” as an over assertion. Labeling is unhealthy. It is also becoming a disservice to our children and to ourselves as parents, grandparents, and educators. We all have a part in this immerging evolution. To attend to the Indigo Child without attending to our own evolutionary needs is preposterous. If we did not learn things from our old computers, we wouldn’t be able to develop better ones. As we evolve, so did our computers. Evolution is a process from which we all must work together.

Our DNA is evolving naturally in alignment with our Spiritual mission. Unexplained “junk” DNA now reveals its wonders as scientists are able to further explore DNA at the quantum levels of light and consciousness. One could take the position that our DNA is beginning to utilize its dormant functions concealed within its “unexplained” space. Virtually every new computer has perfect usable space; it just needs new DNA software to reach it. Scientist are becoming less suspicious of the absence of amino acid chains within this section of our DNA and more concerned on the bio-psychological framework of the functioning in this unexplained space. After all, our DNA is a marvelously and brilliantly designed “blueprint” of life that may very well contain intelligence beyond our knowing.

Remember the Old Testament? Didn’t God, our Infinite Being, create that treaties of Law and Order for the rising new generation? Then why the need for the New Testament? What prompted God to bring in the codes for Peace and Love? God evolves through us—“As above, so Is Below.” Through history, the presentation of new information has been the milestones of our changing civilization. The invention of fire, the wheel, medicine, the prophets; and of course, electricity and Internet.

The known part of our DNA has now been mapped and its codes for genetic processing better understood. There is a part of our DNA, however, that is open for new consciousness to become inscribed. Its evolution is in the making. Remember when computers became popular in the late 1980’s. A $4,500 PC had 250 k of RAM and about 5 mgs of disc space. Now, you can get a portable computer with 1 GB of RAM and 250 GB of disc space for under $1,200. That’s what the Indigo Era is to its predecessor periods.

If one can peak into the evolution of DNA Consciousness, you will see a marvelous unfolding. As the human expands from its environment and the experiences within those environments, the DNA must also capture, expand, and reflect this experience. Spirit and Intelligence are carried by energy in the form of light. As the intelligence of new experiences is captured within the DNA, it merges with its ethereal “Spiritual” complement forming new nucleotides of information within our DNA. This permits the consciousness of Spirit to manifest within the cellular structures of the body. In a similar fashion, our children are like mRNA (DNA messengers), which propagate new cellular life.

In a way, it is an unconscious trick of our collective fears to put the burden of “change” and “evolution” onto someone else, that is, onto our Indigo Children. It is also easier to think that someone else will do the work for us, or is chosen to change the world. Instead, we need to accept to change and raise our consciousness in order to evolve together.

Remember, that all around us is our mirror. Indigo Children are parts of us that we love and admire. They are parts of us that evolve and are more conscious about the universe, higher consciousness, and evolution. These may be the parts of us that we cannot perceive in ourselves. If we are all one body and one soul, then why would God create someone who does not belong to this oneness?

Let’s begin to accept our Indigo Children as a part of ourselves that awakes our consciousness, as new software within our DNA that updates our being and who we really are. In this way, this Indigo Generation will help the whole Indigo Era to develop faster, bringing new, important information about the accelerated powers of light and love energy to the world.
